in other words, you can dis-allow people to pvp while people from your own grand house can still do pvp without punishment.

Not really! If the Lord set the rule to disallow PvP, everybody has to follow the rules. If you PvP in your city although it's not allowed, it even can have conclusions for the House and the city.

I was meaning, grand houses are lords of specific grounds (if they build a city on it) so if they choose the rule of no pvp but that they can still do it, the police/guard shouldn't be responding to any beating a grand house member of that grand house gives, this would be the dictator portion of the grand houses, the more kinds of leadership you allow, the more diverse the game becomes, and the more interresting it will be...

Utterly brilliant - I'm actually rather impressed as it seems whomever was interviewing you had a very anti-rp mindset before they even started, with nearly every question boiling down to "You want to do what?  No way you're going to make that work."  But the questions were answered in exactly the same way both myself and various rper friends have been saying for years; yes, fine, PvP but make it mean something - go to jail, get caught, I don't want to be the permanently pretty one, I want to really customise my character, I want to stretch my own creativity and create quests and content, I want to actually affect the world and not just walk around it.  RP is so much more than emotes and "rp clothes", it can (and should) emcompass the whole game.

Thanks for sticking to your guns on this and I do hope this goes forward.

Well, as maxis 'research' notes, people love making content and to be proud of it for being original, therefor, if you implement creativity and such in a game, even if the graphics are crappy (wich renaissance's won't) and there wouldn't be that much else to do (wich will be, right? ^^) it would still be an awesome game, people love to be creative even more than to be the best. (being the best while being creative is offcourse wonderfull ^^)

Yes, the problem is, most of the games out there have only content for Achievers and Killers (based on the Bartle Test).

We will try to please every "cathegory" at the same extend. So explorers and socializers will have their own content, so they don't have to "play" only in chat channels and with emotes.

BTW, talking about chat ^^, I would like to note that mostly, when I say something it is or gone immediatly by someone spamming the sell channel or something (and even if I put it away, others might not) talking on close range should be made a bit more... noticing, for example making some kind of a sound if you say something, just a random idea putting in between  laugh

Hmm, wouldn't that get rather annoying though.  If you are in a crowded town full of people talking, I wouldn't really want random noises coming from my computer screen  happy  .  I like the idea, but it should be optional...tha t way, if people don't want to hear the noises they can disable them.

The alternative is headphones, making people talk for real and other peopl actualy hear it (and the further you are away from the talking person, the more the sound fades  tongue)

I would find that rather distracting, really.   The usual problem happens with that sort of thing; lag, the voices all sounding the same, trying to code them for appropriate languages, and so forth.  The soundless option works better for me really, as text can be ignored if it isn't relevant to the conversations I'm having.

Less noise the better  - I'm not even a huge fan of voicechat, however so I'm considerably biased.

Hmm, but chat via text is also a bit... anoying, most of the time you are typing something and the other person is running away already or something, maby there should be (like the chat program IMVU) something like a chat cload with someting like "..." in it if you are typing something, that way people can see if you're typing something, so they can wait for a moment if they want to hear it.

Then use voice chat.  It's just that hearing little beeps everytime someone types something is would bebothersome.
